Druhi has been my best friend since we were little babies, and seeing her evolve into the mature and understanding person she is today makes me so proud!
She is a very talented dancer. From a very young age, dance has been her hobby and her escape. She has mastered traditional Kathak, but also slays in jazz. Her dance styles say a lot about her – classy yet bad-assy!! Very often, she faces undue criticism from conservative people who are not used to seeing such bold talent. But her willpower and determination always keeps her going, leaving the entire audience absolutely mesmerised by her grace and confidence.
Sometimes, the world tries to hold her free spirit back, and while she respects everyone, she knows how to put her foot down, too.
Her grace is evident even when she doesn’t have her ghungroos on. She handles every situation thrown at her with such thoughtfulness. She not only finds creative solutions for herself, but is a problem-solver for everyone who approaches her.
Everyone who knows Druhi definitely loves her. Some people call her a people’s pleaser, but here’s why I disagree. Her personality is so lovable, and she is so easy to get along with. She literally cant hurt a fly, but will take down mountains for anything she strongly believes in. She will never blindly succumb to pressure. A few years ago, some of us went through something together. While I hesitated to speak up, my best friend marched to the authorities to set things straight – she will never tolerate injustice. I remember tearing up as I watched Druhi transform so beautifully from within her cocoon to a gorgeous butterfly, spreading her wings.
Druhi is really the bestest friend I could have asked for. She is the most gorgeous girl I know, inside out. She is always giggling and spreading joy. Druhi understands my emotions when Im in a blur, and voices my thoughts when I am silent. That’s how well she knows me. We have been through so much together, and she has been my constant through it all. The “BFF” scribbles on our hands growing up have meaning now – she is really my best friend forever.
